After turning off breaker for security I would open up the light that operates and verify that wiring is intact if wires are secure then go to the up coming in line which really should be other kitchen area light not working and my guess is that has to be disconnected wires.
the wires will possibly be on screws of light base or marreted or even taped jointly, black to black and white to white.
Failing that it implies you have a break in the wire some exactly where in the ceiling between very good and negative light
If your self-confident sufficient you could disconnect negative light wires at very good light attach new wire there and pull via to good lamp
